The Mithila Cultural Society UK was founded in 2009 by a group of passionate individuals committed to preserving and sharing the rich cultural heritage of Mithila with the world. The founders envisioned a platform that would bring together the Mithila diaspora, promote cultural exchange with the wider UK community, and foster empowerment initiatives for the underprivileged in Mithila and globally, particularly focusing on health, education, skill development, and welfare support for women and children. This dual mission of art and cultural preservation, and social upliftment, continues to guide the society’s work today.
